Thomas McCorry dedicated 20 years of his career to Constellation Brands, a global producer of well-known beer, wine, and spirits brands such as Corona, Modelo, Meomi, Robert Mondavi, Casa Noble, Mi Campo, and Svedka. Over those two decades, he advanced through a variety of senior leadership roles, gaining extensive experience in accounting and
controls, operational finance, controllership, business partnership, strategy, and overall financial management. His work consistently delivered measurable results, supported by expertise in strategic and financial planning, risk management, financial controls, process improvement, mentoring, US GAAP accounting, cost efficiency, valuations, modeling, and revenue management.
He began with the company in 2004 as a Director and later became Vice President of Global Accounting. In this capacity, he managed the global consolidated accounting close for the $3.6 billion publicly traded business, successfully reducing the close cycle by eight days while improving reporting quality and enhancing internal controls. He developed global cash flow reporting processes that cut preparation time by 10 days, streamlined multi-currency statement consolidation, and conducted detailed accounting research on complex transactions. He also led purchase price allocations for billion-dollar acquisitions, authored global accounting policies, centralized intercompany transactions, and ensured US GAAP compliance across domestic and international divisions. Additionally, he contributed to the design and implementation of a new global ERP system.
In 2012, he was named Vice President of FP&A – Wine & Spirits, overseeing strategic and annual planning for a $2.7 billion U.S. business. Two years later, he became Vice President of Commercial Finance – Wine & Spirits, where he centralized $150 million in non-price investments, introduced zero-based budgeting, improved forecasting processes, and created financial metrics linking sales performance to company goals. He also reorganized the sales finance team into a shared services model, enabling growth and acquisitions without increasing headcount.
He later served as Chief Audit Executive and Senior Vice President & Controller before returning to the Wine & Spirits Division as Senior Vice President & CFO. In that role, he redefined the division’s strategy following a $1 billion divestiture, eliminated $100 million in stranded fixed costs, and built a pricing execution team that achieved a 500% increase in price realization. From 2021 to late 2023, he served as Senior Vice President & CFO of the Beer Division, an $8 billion revenue business, where he reduced planned capital spending by $1.5 billion, enhanced governance, improved margins, and implemented a multi-year cost efficiency plan.
Before joining the company, he spent seven years in public accounting with major firms. In 2024, he became Managing Consultant at Pinnacle Growth Strategies, advising organizations on improving financial performance, managing risk, and achieving sustainable growth. He also serves on several boards, funds scholarships, and volunteers in his community. A graduate of SUNY Geneseo, he is a CPA and completed an executive program at Dartmouth College. Originally from Brooklyn, he is married with two children and enjoys running, traveling, and time at the beach. Thomas McCorry continues to apply his expertise to help organizations succeed.
