In early 2026, after observing persistent inefficiencies in healthcare-adjacent insurance workflows, Thomas set out to build a better way. With zero prior software development experience and no background in dentistry, he used frontier AI tools—advanced prompting, code-generation agents, and iterative workflows—to conceive, build, and launch Level AI in roughly one week.
The platform delivers real-time insurance eligibility verification, adaptive denial prediction through RevenueIQ (a self-improving machine-learning engine), automated pre-authorizations, secure write-back to major practice management systems (Open Dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft), auto-faxing, and intelligent patient outreach. It runs on a stateless, zero-data-retention edge architecture that ensures true HIPAA compliance with zero protected health information ever stored on Level AI’s servers.
