Before becoming a doctor, Thomas Heric attended the University of California at Berkeley, finishing his undergraduate work in 1958. Thomas Heric also served as Commissioner for the Los Angeles County Hospital Commission under Supervisor James Hayes.
Between 1961 and 1964 he spent his graduate training at two different institutions, the Anatomy
and Neurophysiology Brain Research Institute and his Alma Mater, the University of California, where he also completed his medical training and internship (in 1964 and 1968).
Thomas Heric: In Retirement
Neurologist Thomas Heric devoted his entire career of four decades to the field of medicine, both as a doctor and medical director. Much of his career was devoted to his private practice in Santa Monica within St. John’s Hospital.
Now retired, he enjoys playing the ukulele, delving into computers and electronics, exploring bird breeding and volunteering at a medical clinic for farm workers in Oxnard, CA.
