Thomas Korn studied engineering at the FH in Munich with a focus on "technical physics". At the end of the 90's, he started his career as a development engineer in the R & D department at BMW where he mainly dealt with the topics of alternative drive systems and alternative fuels. During this time he was instrumental in the
development of two generations of hydrogen vehicles. From 2001 he was responsible for the research department for fuel cell technology for BMW before he went to California for BMW in 2006 where he worked as project manager for the H 2Vehicle and gas station program for BMW North America conducted. He then joined Alset as vice president of technology and innovation where he gained his first start-up experience. In 2015, Thomas Korn finally founded his own company: the start-up KEYOU. As CEO and founder, he realizes his dream of developing sustainable and clean hydrogen engines there.
The now 14-member high-tech company develops innovative hydrogen technologies, special components and combustion processes that can be used to transfer conventional engines to zero-emission engines. The technology is engine and manufacturer independent and applicable for new and existing vehicles. The focus is currently on the commercial vehicle sector.
