Tom Danis, Jr. is a Managing Principal and co-founder of RCP. He leads the manager research and investment sourcing function of the Firm, including the ongoing relationship management of private equity fund managers. Tom is also responsible for the evaluation and monitoring of investments. In addition, Tom is a member of the Investment Committee
and active as an Advisory Board member of various underlying funds. Tom has been involved in the private equity industry for over 15 years. Prior to founding RCP, Tom was a Director of Aon’s Financial Sponsors Practice, where he was responsible for advising companies on financial, legal, and risk management issues surrounding due diligence, structuring, and valuation transactions primarily from a liability perspective. Tom earned his BS in business administration from the University of Colorado. Tom serves on the board of the Children’s Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Illinois Venture Capital Association and is a director of the Evans Scholars Foundation. He is also an active member of The Economics Club of Chicago, Young Presidents Organization, Association for Corporate Growth, Chicago Area Private Equity Executives (CAPEX), and The Commonwealth Club of Chicago.
