Mr. Macphee joined the Corporate Development and Strategy group in 1995, where he has led numerous acquisitions and venturing efforts. Mr. Macphee currently has responsibility for strategic planning, acquisitions and divestitures, and new business development. Mr. Macphee joined Rohm and Haas Company in 1978 as a process chemist and has worked in
numerous areas including Polymer Operations and New Ventures. In 1992, he was named vice president of Marketing and Finance for Plaskon, a former electronic materials subsidiary of Rohm and Haas. Rohm and Haas is a $6.4 billion worldwide producer of specialty materials with more than 100 plants and research facilities in 27 countries. Rohm and Haas technology is found in paint and coatings, adhesives and sealants, construction materials, personal computers and electronic components, household cleaning products, and thousands of everyday products.
Mr. Macphee earned a BS in chemistry from the University of Delaware in 1976 and an MBA in Finance from Temple University in 1982. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Economy League.
