H.E. Theon Ali (born February 16, 1980, in Trinidad and Tobago) is an Ambassador-designate of Antigua and Barbuda to the State of Qatar and currently serves as Deputy Head of Mission to the United Arab Emirates. He is a diplomat focused on promoting climate-resilient growth, sustainable investment, and regional economic development for Small Island
Developing States (SIDS), with an emphasis on the Caribbean.
Ambassador Ali represented Antigua and Barbuda at the World Governments Summit 2026 in Dubai, engaging with heads of state, ministers, and international policy leaders. His work centers on accelerating foreign investment, advancing climate resiliency, and translating high-level policy dialogues into actionable projects.
In his diplomatic role, H.E. Ali focuses on infrastructure development, renewable energy, energy security, and climate adaptation. He works closely with government and climate officials, global institutions, and private-sector partners to establish strategic alliances and bankable projects, aiming to position Antigua and Barbuda as a climate-ready and energy-secure hub in the Caribbean region.
