Thad Thomas is the Founder of Thomas Cuisine. He was raised on his family's ranch in Shawmut, Montana, and then relocated to Helena, Montana, where he developed a lifetime appreciation for the great outdoors and diligence. Thad obtained a sociology degree from Carroll College after finishing high school in Helena. He managed banquets and
served meals while working part-time for Saga Corporation at Carroll College. His dedication to his work was apparent. At age 23, Saga hired him, and he started on his career path. In Helena, Montana, he wed Lynn Scott in 1972 and started a long career with Saga Corporation, traveling, transferring, and climbing the corporate ladder. Thad was given the position of HR Director for Saga and relocated to the company's Menlo Park, California, headquarters. Their three children—a male named Matthew and identical twin girls named Jodi and Jessica—were all born there. Thad was elevated to Vice President for the Western Region by Saga because of his excellent work ethic and keen commercial acumen. In 1979, the young family relocated to Meridian, Idaho, and made that city their permanent residence. After spending several years working for Saga Corporation, he and Lynn decided to take a big gamble and start their own food service business in their garage in 1986, using all of their life savings as collateral. The business was first known as Thad Thomas Management before changing its name to Thomas Cuisine Management.
