Terry started his career as a trainee computer programmer at Hill Samuel in 1968. In 1972 he joined Kingsley Smith and Associates (subsequently BIS and then Misys) as a Senior Systems Architect where he played a pivotal role in the creation of one of the most successful banking packages of its time – MIDAS. Terry then moved to become the
International Data Processing Manager for a major European bank where he held responsibility for all systems outside of the home country. At the bank Terry designed, and wrote, Modular Banking System which was successfully resold around the world by Arthur Andersen on the bank’s behalf. Terry left the bank in 1983 to set up what is now known as International Financial Systems.
