An attorney with over three decades of experience in dependency court appeals, Terry Chucas, represents parents and children in appellate cases. Terry Chucas serves on the Dependency Appellate Panel for California's Fourth District Court of Appeal in San Diego and the Second District Court of Appeal in Los Angeles.
Before focusing on
appellate cases, Mr. Chucas represented children in high-conflict divorce cases in San Diego's Superior Court, handling complex cases. His work has earned him recognition, including Martindale Hubbell's highest rating for conduct and ethics, Family Lawyer of the Year by The San Diego Daily Transcript in 2005, and inclusion among San Diego's Top Attorneys by San Diego Magazine in 2013.
Mr. Chucas also has a diverse background beyond law, including roles as an executive vice president in nursing home development and a naval officer in the Royal Canadian Navy, where he received an honorable discharge. In his free time, he enjoys reading, traveling, and playing hockey, a sport he played competitively until age 45, including participation in the 1984 International Tournament in Stockholm.
