Terrell Gray was born and raised in Lancaster, California. After graduating from Eastside High School as valedictorian he went on to pursue a Bachelors in Philosophy from the University of California, Los Angeles.
At UCLA, Gray met Steve O'Dell, Robbie Page, and Sonny Desai. Together they founded KOTU, his first venture which experienced
small scale success. The KOTU team disband in 2016. Gray felt little challenge from his classes and believed it limited his personal growth. To remove limits and pursue entrepreneurial ventures with max potential Gray dropped out just 2 quarters from his graduation.
During his first two years of college Terrell Gray found his enthusiasm for investment management. After making several successful predictions Gray began practicing investment management and developing his own investment philosophy. Following the teachings of Benjamin Graham, Terrell Gray practiced and studied value investing to develop his own model to adapt for modern changes.
After dropping out Gray founded ARES, an Augmented Reality project that he soon realized was ahead of its time and out of his reach.
In the Summer of 2016, Terrell Gray believed he needed to find ways to focus his efforts. During this time he found a passion for music production. Gray then realized this needed to be a long term goal, giving him time to build his skill in the craft and save the funds needed to launch a music career.
He rejoined business partners Steve O'Dell and Robbie Page in operating Tenzo Tea. Joining on as a sales executive, Gray helped build some of the first sales plans for Tenzo Tea. After the first month and a half with Tenzo Tea, the team had grown to include members more focused in sales. As a result, Gray transitioned into Financial Planning and Analysis.
During the same time Gray continued his investment practice and started his own firm.
