Ted Harbert joined NBCUniversal in January 2011 as Chairman, NBC Broadcasting and reports directly to Steve Burke, CEO of NBCUniversal. He is responsible for NBC Advertising Sales, the NBC Owned Television Stations, Affiliate Relations, Network Research, Domestic Television Distribution, NBCUniversal Digital Entertainment, and Special Events.

Previously, Harbert served as President & CEO, Comcast Entertainment Group, where he oversaw E! Entertainment Television, Style Network, G4, Comcast International Media Group, Comcast Entertainment Productions, as well as CEG’s digital properties, including E! Online and G4tv.com. During Harbert’s tenure, the company boasted six years of record setting growth.
Harbert previously served as President of NBC Studios, with responsibility for the development and production of all NBC-owned programming for all dayparts. Programs under his supervision included “Will & Grace,” “Providence,” “Boomtown” and “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.”
Harbert spent the first 20 years of his career with ABC, ultimately serving as Chairman of ABC Entertainment. At various times during his tenure at ABC, he was responsible for primetime scheduling, made-for-TV movies and miniseries, current programming, specials and late night programming. Harbert was closely associated with such programs as “The Wonder Years,” “NYPD Blue,” “Home Improvement,” “My So Called Life,” “The Practice” and “America’s Funniest Home Videos.” Harbert has also served as a producer at 20th Century Fox Television and DreamWorks SKG.
