Tan Phan is Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of DataXight, where he leads the company’s technology strategy, engineering organization, and technical delivery for scientific software and AI solutions. He works closely with life sciences organizations to design and implement technology solutions that address complex biological data challenges
and accelerate research outcomes.
With extensive experience in bioinformatics, software engineering, and cloud platform architecture, Tan has developed technologies that support large-scale biological data analysis for researchers worldwide. Prior to DataXight, he held leadership and engineering roles at BioTuring, contributing to industry-leading products for single-cell omics analysis, scientific visualization, and cloud-based data science workflows. He also serves as a Principal Bioinformatics Engineer and Manager at DNAnexus, supporting genomics and precision medicine initiatives through scalable cloud technologies.
Combining deep technical expertise with a strong understanding of scientific workflows, Tan partners with clients to translate research challenges into practical, high-impact solutions. He is passionate about building technologies that make advanced analytics more accessible and empower researchers to move faster from data to discovery.
