Sven Schmidt is the Chief Marketing Officer of Machineseeker Group and Insider Podcast Co-Host at Deutsche Startups.
Previously, Sven was a Venture Partner of Accel and Earlybird Venture Capital where he led their investment in Carpooling.com. Sven co-founded venture-backed Verwandt, which was sold to Accel portfolio company MyHeritage. He also
was the co-founder of Getgo, a venture-backed e-commerce ticketing company that was sold to CTS Eventim, where he was head of the New Media division. Sven started his career at McKinsey in Düsseldorf.
He studied business administration in Germany and in the U.S. where he graduated with a Diplom-Kaufmann degree as well as an MBA.
