Mr. Subbakrishna is President of Lockwood Associates, a management consulting firm specializing in technology and operations strategy.
Mr. Subbakrishna has been a management consultant since 1996, most recently with Oliver Wyman where he served as a partner and senior advisor. While his services have been primarily focused on large financial
institutions, he has also worked with clients in telecommunications, transportation, consumer products and healthcare. He has advised clients on a diverse range of management issues such as new product development, operational efficiency, and organization design.
From 1988 to 1996, Mr. Subbakrishna worked in the financial services sector, first at Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS) and then at J.P. Morgan. During this period, he was in a variety of senior technology and operations roles in equities, foreign exchange and commodities trading businesses, including a 3 year stint in Zurich establishing the operational infrastructure for SBC’s equity derivatives business.
Prior to joining the financial services industry, Mr. Subbakrishna worked in software development, leading teams developing applications in personnel management, sales and marketing performance, and international corporate taxation.
Mr. Subbakrishna has an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago, and a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Illinois. He has been quoted on current topics in technology and finance in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and CFO magazine, and has appeared on PBS Nightly News discussing electronic business.
