This is Prof. Subhashis Modak from the National Institute of Management and Research Studies (NIMR, India). Being an Aviation Trainer by profession, my aim is to create “Skilled future-ready workforce for the aviation industry.” In the past seven years of my Industry-Academia journey, I have managed to work with prominent aviation brands in the
likes of Heathrow airport, Emirates airlines, Menzies aviation on the industry side. On the academic front, I am associated with various aviation training organization like NIMR, Udaan Aviation Academy, just to name a few. I am also the current alumni of the Bombay flying club, India and the prestigious University of West London, UK. I'm a certified Trainer under government's Skill India initiative.
Knowing the best of both the sectors, the idea is to bridge the gap between aviation industry and the academia by enriching students with hands-on skill-based teaching experiences. So far, in spite of the COVID 19 pandemic challenges, I have managed to train a fair bit more than 150 students across different disciplines in the Aviation industry from around the nation and the world, clocking more than 350 hours of online live sessions.
My words of Inspiration to the aspiring Avgeeks: “When Passion meets Profession, it equals Success”. Follow your passion for aviation and constantly find ways to up-skill yourself in the industry. That's the secret by which no one can stop you from flying high!
