Stuart is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Harbor Pacific Capital. He is involved with all of the firm’s investments and helps oversee the firm’s investment efforts in the United States and China. In addition, he is responsible for overseeing the firm’s financial and administrative activities.
Prior to co-founding Harbor Pacific, Stuart
worked at Evolution Capital Management, where he focused on public and private investments in Asia for the fund’s special situations portfolio. Previously, Stuart worked for six years in the global consumer products and retail group of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and UBS Investment Bank in both New York and Hong Kong, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions in the global retail industry.
He has extensive cross-border transactional experience, having worked with Wal-Mart on four international acquisitions, including Seiyu in Japan, Bompreço in Brazil, CARHCO in Central America and Trust-Mart in China.
Stuart received an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Government and Economics from Cornell University. Stuart is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin.
