Stuart brings 25 years of experience working in the design and delivery of networking and communications equipment to the most demanding of customers around the world and in some of the most challenging environments. Showing exceptional product development and management skills, Stuart has been involved in engineering successes encompassing
everything from electronics for harsh environments to telecom gear that sits on roadsides to high speed optical switches at the core of the network.
Having being involved in many large and small organizations, Stuart has developed specific startup skills with a number of successful ventures including Catena networks which was acquired by Ciena Corporation in 2004 for $500M. Most recently at Ciena, he was instrumental in the development of a new multi-terabit optical switching platform.
Prior to this, he held key management positions in the successful design and deployment of some of the first Ethernet based access equipment for major RBOC accounts.
Stuart holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland (St. John’s, NL).
