Stuart (Stu) Ogawa oversees Marketwired's product and technology organization and is responsible for setting the direction of the company's product roadmaps. He brings 25 years' experience leading large development, product and engineering teams at both VC-backed start-up companies and multi-billion dollar public enterprises.
Most
recently he served as VP, Business Intelligence at Yahoo! Inc. in Santa Clara, California. where he led a team of 180-plus people overseeing Big Data platforms and the search and display ad monetization platforms. During his tenure he received The SuperStar Team Lead Award, one of the highest Yahoo! awards given to employees.
Prior to that, Stu was recruited to Teradata prior to its IPO, where he led a 275 person organization as its General Manager, VP of Applications. This organization built and delivered Big Data and analytic applications for the Global 1000. He founded two SaaS start-ups, including a financial information exchange and an early social network.
Stu received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from University of California, Santa Barbara, an MBA from Santa Clara University, and completed the Executive Leadership Program at Stanford University, sponsored by Yahoo!.
