Steven Jaffe obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Since obtaining his degree he has devoted his energies to the field of emissive display and lighting technologies. He co-founded Quantum Vision, Inc., developing light engines for HDTV based upon the company’s novel phosphor technology. At Quantum Vision, Dr. Jaffe
was responsible for the management of customer relations, operations and product and process development. He led financing rounds raising over $14 million from venture firms, angel investors and strategic customers. He was also the principal on several million dollars of government contracts and one of four inventors of the core phosphor technology. At Lumencor Dr. Jaffe is responsible for finance, invention throughout the company’s patent portfolio, engineering new lighting designs and oversees the facilities daily operations.
