Steve started his career working for 21st Century Cyber Charter School where he found his love for automation and continual process improvement. Steve turned a manual imaging process from one computer at a time into an automated 50+ computer at a time using a network deployment system with post restore scripts that personalized each computer. Steve
brought these skills to the IT Department at Millersville University where he worked part time during his time earning his degree.
Upon graduation, Steve began working at Hosting.com where he was quickly promoted to a Server Engineer. He also helped develop the role Technical Team Lead as well as dedicated his time to special projects as a Platform Engineer where he helped develop new products with a special interest in automation. After Steve’s tenure at Hosting.com, he joined Ion-E Group as their Chief Architect.
Steve along with a fellow partner of Ion-E helped co-found appSYGNA as their Chief Architect/CTO. AppSYGNA specializes in big data custom solutions and strive to implement these solutions with open-source software. Steve also co-founded Sgnify, a digital signage company that specializes in real-time interactive touchscreen digital signs. appSYGNA and sgnify give back to the community by contributing to projects like PyroCMS where they are helping upgrade the CMS to use PSR standards to take full advantage of new versions of PHP and framework agnostic code.
