Before being named Wichita President for CrossFirst Bank, Steve served as Division President for Stillwater National Bank in Austin, Texas; where he placed special emphasis on serving selected market segments including real estate, healthcare and executives.
Prior to joining SNB, Steve was a City President for Compass Bank and a Vice President,
Commercial Banking, at Commerce Bank in Wichita. He also served as Commerce Bank's Community Bank President in Derby, Kansas.
His banking career began nearly 25 years ago at BANK IV where he worked in lending and commercial business development. Steve also owned and operated a successful restaurant franchise in Wichita from 1991, until he and his wife sold the company in 1998.
Steve earned a degree in business administration from the University of Kansas.
