Steve is the Director, Renewable Solutions Business. Mr. Hummel joined Turbine Air Systems, Ltd in November of 2009 after having spent the previous 20 years with GE Energy and GE Aviation.
Mr. Hummel’s professional background includes an extensive experience in the power industry having served in many technical, commercial, and sales leadership
positions during his career.
After graduating from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1988, Mr. Hummel began his career as a production engineer with GE’s aircraft engine business in Cincinnati, OH where he held numerous positions in manufacturing, services, quality, and customer service prior to moving to GE Energy in Atlanta, GA. While with GE Energy, Mr. Hummel served as a Commercial Director, Commercial Leader, and Sales Leader in energy services with a focus on originating strategic, long-term service contracts.
Mr. Hummel has an M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and an EJD degree from Concord Law School.
