In 2014, Steve began serving as Founder & Managing Director of Hatch House Ventures, a growing network of university affiliated startup accelerators.
By early-2016, four office locations had been established in the Mid-Atlantic region and millions of dollars had been raised by the companies who completed the Hatch House Ventures accelerator
program.
By this time, Entrepreneur Magazine’s 360-List® identified Hatch House Ventures a top domestic company dedicated to innovation and entrepreneurial development. Through the process of working closely with communities focused on entrepreneurial development, Hatch House Ventures expanded into software solutions. In 2016, HeliumIQ was established as a spin-off software company now serving as a fully funded entrepreneurial ecosystem management platform providing solutions for private communities and regions focused on grassroots economic development. Currently, Steve primarily serves as the CEO of HeliumIQ. Outside of his own businesses, Steve has contributed to the development of entrepreneurs as an Adjunct Professor of Practice at University of Delaware’s Horn School of Entrepreneurship as well as a prior role as Director of Entrepreneurship at Rowan University.
Steve is an avid public speaker on numerous topics around entrepreneurship. He has conducted three TEDx presentations while continuing to speak across the country on various related topics.
Steve received his Bachelors of Science in Organizational Leadership from the University of Delaware and a Master’s of Engineering in Technical Entrepreneurship from Lehigh University.
