Steve is an internationally experienced Finance Executive with particular experience in working with Boards and Senior Management to fund, grow and develop small and medium size technology businesses.
Prior to joining Barefoot Power in 2010, he provided CFO services to two other startup companies in the renewable energy space - Chromasun, Inc,
an innovative start-up company operating in the US and Australia to develop a low cost PV solar technology for commercial building applications and Crucible Carbon Pty Limited, an Australian company developing a pyrolysis technology for producing bio-char and clean oil and gas products.
Prior to these engagements he was based in the US as Financial Controller for Ausra, Inc, a solar thermal power plant technology developer. He was part of the senior management team at Solar Heat and Power Pty Limited which took its technology to the US to form Ausra with US venture capital funding.
He has many years experience as Financial Controller and Company Secretary with small to medium size listed and private companies, following 10 years with the accounting firm PriceWaterhouseCoopers. He has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Technology, Sydney, and is also a director and company secretary of a private charity.
