Mr. Stephen Jones serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Abbey National Treasury Services plc. Mr. Jones has been the Chief Financial Officer of Banco Santander, S.A since 2012. joined Santander UK from Barclays where he served as Managing Director, Head of Investor Relations, served on the Governance and Control Committee for its UK Retail and Business Banking and was a member of the Regulatory and Public Policy Group. He served as Managing Director, Head of Corporate Debt Capital Markets and Equity Capital Markets and Co-Head of Corporate Investment Banking, Barclays Capital EMEA.
Before joining Barclays in 2002 he spent 14 years at Schroders (later Schroder Salomon Smith Barney). He qualified as a solicitor in 1988. He has been an Executive Director at Abbey National Treasury Services plc since august 30, 2013.
