Dr. Datena, the founder of AkēLex, is a trauma surgeon and medical educator. Dr. Datena conceived the original processes and methodologies that were developed into the core decision analysis and knowledge management technologies of AkēLex and co-invented the Adaptive Knowledge Engine. Dr. Datena graduated from the Indiana University School of
Medicine in 1984, and completed surgical residency at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis (1989).
