Steve is responsible for maintaining and managing relationships with commercial insurers for all EPIC offices in the Western Region. He also directs and delivers risk management services and insurance programs for EPIC’s major commercial clients.
Across an insurance career spanning 30+ years, Steve has held similar responsibilities for a
national broker, provided technical and marketing support services for an independent broker franchise network and was Director of Risk Management for a major California-based corporation. He started his career with the Factory Mutual System and was a risk management consultant for a leading consulting firm.
Steve is an actively involved in a wide range of insurance industry activities and organizations, serving on the boards of the Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation (IICF), the Insurance Educational Association (IEA) and the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters. He has also taught CPCU courses and an MBA course titled “Risk Financing Alternatives and Actuarial Science” at Golden Gate University.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Science – Industrial Engineering degree from Northwestern University; and he holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.
