Stephen E. Gerard recalls being described as "entrepreneurial" before earning his MBA from Monmouth University or even his B.S. in Finance from Rider University. But it wasn't until he had twenty years of experience under his belt that he took the plunge and started his own company. Stephen worked for Pepsi Cola Corporation and
Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals from 1984 to 1990, rising through the corporate levels in accounting and finance (now Merck Pharmaceuticals). He then moved to Schering-Plough's commercial side in 1990, where he worked in sales and marketing. He went to IMS Health (now IQIVIA) in 1994 and worked in marketing responsibilities there until 2000. Stephen had a solid foundation of management experience at this stage. "Overall, it was a fantastic twenty-year journey in corporate America," Stephen recalls. Then the bottom came crashing down.
