In 1982, Stan co-founded Unique Business Systems. The basic plan for the company was to provide software products based on the emerging IBM Personal Computer technology. With Stan as the techno-visionary, UBS introduced several innovative improvements to the standard equipment rental and point-of-sale software available at that time. Easier to use
software, color screens, and fast multi-user access to key decision-making data made UBS’ solutions No. 1 in their respective markets.
Prior to UBS, Stan worked for Atlantic Richfield for 7 years in several financial and analytical positions. Stan graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 1974 with a bachelor’s degree in Biophysics. In 1978 he received a MBA from The Andersen School, UCLA. His area of Specialization at the UCLA Graduate School of Management was Accounting and Computer Information Systems.
