After graduating from the University of Miami in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Stan was awarded a scholarship to The Cooper Union in New York City, graduating in 1968 with a Master of Engineering. Beginning in his chosen field as an Assistant Superintendent for Malon Construction Company in New York City he worked on the
Newton Creek Sewage Treatment Plant in Brooklyn. After completing this project Stan was recruited by the New York Stock Exchange and hired as Junior Engineer. Moving back to Miami in 1969, he was employed by Fellman-Reiff Architects and Engineers, as Engineer for the structural design of high rises and shopping centers. Kimmel Construction Corp. was incorporated in the State of Florida in 1971 by Stan Kimmel. The organization is 100% owned by Stanley Kimmel, state licensed general contractor and President.
