Spencer Schar has recently relocated from Denver, Colorado, to Florida. Real estate and real estate development are Mr. Schar’s key professional areas of interest, and he is enjoying exploring the new opportunities Colorado has to offer in this regard. He is currently educating himself on the political landscape and development planning environment
of the state; development planning and regulation in Florida and Colorado share many similarities, but there are significant differences too, such as around terrain and water rights.
Mr. Schar was an operations manager at The Club at Bella Collina from 2019 to 2024, which is a 1,900-acre luxury residential development founded in 2007. In this role he set the pricing structure for all business operations, guided the company’s branding and marketing efforts, represented the owner’s interests in all matters relating to the community, and assisted the general manager in day-to-day decision making. Mr. Schar was also a strategic advisor at DCS Real Estate Investments from 2020 to 2024. His responsibilities included finding, creating, and managing capital projects to increase the value of assets, working with engineers, architects, and lawyers to execute construction projects, scouting for and procuring new land and projects for business expansion, and representing the company owner during business-to-business meetings.
To relax, Mr. Schar enjoys hiking with his dog on the trails of the Flatirons. These striking sandstone formations are Boulder’s most iconic landmark and offer plenty of opportunities for walking, picnicking, and rock climbing.
