Sir David Wright is the Chairman of Skarbek Associates. Sir David was previously the UK's Ambassador to Japan and was Vice Chair of Barclays Capital. Sir David joined the Foreign Office in 1966 and was posted as Third Secretary, later Second Secretary, to Tokyo. He returned to the FCO in 1972 and was promoted in London to First Secretary
before attending the École nationale d’administration in Paris in 1975. He was also Vice-President of the China-Britain Business Council and a Governor of the Royal Shakespeare Company. He is Chairman of the Japan Market Advisory Group of The City UK.
