A mechanical engineering graduate from IIT Delhi, Simran worked in J. Ray McDermott, Dubai, an offshore oilfield services company, for about 2 years. When abroad, Simran always yearned to be back in India. With the motive of working for his own country, he quit his job in Dubai and came to back to India. A travel and sports enthusiast, Simran loves
to have new challenges in life. He worked as a Youth for India fellow, a CSR inititiative by State Bank of India, for one year. During the stint of the fellowship, he worked with Seva Mandir, a partner of Boond in Udaipur region, promoting alternative energy in rural and tribal areas of Udaipur. He played a pivotal role in reviving the Energy Entrepreneurship Project being implemented by Seva Mandir in partnership with Boond.
After the fellowship, Simran naturally transitioned over to Boond, heading its operations and business development in South Rajasthan. He is also responsible for building training modules for Boond Entrepreneurs and working with the product team to introduce new technologies and products to meet the needs of the underserved. His strong engineering and product knowledge has proven to be a great assest to Boond
Simran firmly believes that youth have the greatest potential as agents of change. He works hard to bring more and more rural youth into the Boond movement, strengthening the presence of Boond at grass-root level.
