Simon's primary qualification is as an Architectural Technologist (Dip Arch Tech). Simon has worked in a number of small, medium and large architectural practices both in Ireland and Australia. In 2002 he founded Palmer Whelan & Associates with David Palmer, a Dublin-based architectural practice. As a Senior Architectural Technologist, he
oversaw a number of high profile projects for a diverse range of clients. Simon is a part-time Lecturer in Dublin City VEC, teaching in Environmental Studies, Building Technology and Sustainable Energy Studies. Simon's research areas are in environmental and energy efficient design, heat loss methods, and occupant comfort.
