Simon joined H2 in early 2011 and is responsible for helping to develop H2's business in the UK. He has experience of managing businesses through periods of transformation, and significant transactional experience in restructuring and special situations.
At H2, Simon works on new UK investment opportunities and with portfolio businesses.
He works closely with the team at Hancocks, the Confectionery Wholesaler, on growing the business with the expansion of new channels, opening new stores with different formats, developing the pricing strategy and implementing sales and customer service training.
Before joining H2, he was a Partner at Hanover Investors, a hands-on UK investor in both public and private equity. Simon was interim CEO in a financial services business as it recovered from a loss-making position, on the board of a Support Services business and involved across a broad range of other sectors.
Previously Simon worked at Shell International, where he had a range of operational roles and subsequently led European M&A activity in the Downstream business (Marketing, Distribution & Retail).
