Shipango is a Zambian citizen and Insurance Executive, Practitioner/Manager and consultant with over 26 years of hands on insurance and marketing experience in the Eastern & Southern African insurance industry. He also has had extensive International exposure through attendance of seminars, workshops and short courses in the Netherlands,
India, USA, Japan, South Africa and Morocco.
Shipango is a qualified Chartered Insurer with the Chartered Insurance Institute of the UK, a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of Zambia and an Associate of the Zambia Institute of Marketing, who over the years has worked in various capacities both in technical and management positions.
The firms Shipango has worked at include: the Zambia State Insurance Corporation, Livingstone Motor Assemblers, Professional Insurance Corporation Zambia Limited and currently ZEP-Re (PTA Reinsurance Company) – a COMESA Institution, as Regional Manager responsible for the Southern African Market. In addition, Shipango also serves as: Board Chairman of Izwe Zambia Limited, Board Chairman of Peoples Christian School, President of the Zambia Japan Management & Technical Association, President of the Insurers Association of Zambia, Chairman of the Business Development committee of the Zambia Institute of Marketing, and Managing Partner of Business Impact Consulting.
