Shingai is known as the guy that comes up with ideas and then comes up with ways of making the ideas reality
He got into software development and web infrastructure in Washington, DC, working for a small government contractor where he created a technology consulting practice, specializing in the implementation of open source platforms to manage
business data (HR, distribution of research data, emergency response maps). He also served as the product manager and lead developer for a "green" product e-commerce and social site called GreenMeetup, handling everything from design/architecture, development, go-live, and post-production support.
Seeking to be closer to the incredible energy of the San Francisco Bay Area, he took a position with Kaiser Permanente as an Innovation Solution Consultant. He also accepted a position on the board of an internal Kaiser Permanente workforce planning startup called genKP. Over the course of 2013 he oversaw 200% growth in the customer base, a successful rebranding campaign, and growth an internal consulting business development pipeline as the chief digital strategist, head of finance, and co-chair of operations.
He is also Managing Director of ProjectVision, a technology services startup that develops natural language processing app to help individuals and teams work better together.
