Shawn is a luminary in wireless communications. He is currently a Professor Emeritus at the School of Engineering Science at Simon Fraser University. Shawn founded PulseWave RF, TRL Microwave Technology and Seron Technologies. He has acted as an external partner for Hewlett Packard and later Agilent Technologies where he developed the majority of
the ADS software design guides and the ADS Digital Predistorter Connected Solution. In addition, he delivered seminars on Digital Predistortion of Power Amplifiers around the globe. Shawn has held positions at Scientific Atlanta, GigaOptix (iTerra Communications), and Canadian Astronautics Limited. Shawn received his B.Eng, M.Eng. and Ph.D. from Carleton/Ottawa University. He has over 200 international patents, and has published approximately 200 scholarly publications in the areas of RFICs, Digital Signal Processing, Mobile Communications and Power Amplifications.
