Shannon Stone is an instructional coach for Jefferson County Public schools. She has experience at the elementary level in primary and intermediate grades as well as special education. This school year she has assisted teachers in facilitating the use of data to drive instructional decisions and building their instructional toolbox beyond
traditional learning. She believes that all students can learn when engaged. Shannon recently completed her Ph.D. with a focus on primary fractions content and flipped learning using tablet devices. Her love for elementary mathematics is being nurtured through her development of a dual-school collaborative to help foster teacher relationships and collegiality in mathematics.
