Shane joined Prodege in September 2013 as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to joining Prodege Shane was the Chief Technology Officer for Accumen. Shane was on the founding team and oversaw all technology efforts to bring Accumen from startup to a business responsible for 32 labs in three states. Prior to joining Accretive, Shane served as Chief
Technology Officer at Fandango, Comcast’s online ticketing business, where he had direct responsibilities for Fandango, Movies.com and the oversight of Daily Candy and SWIRL technology groups. He played a critical role growing both revenue and profits, building a world class organization and preparing the company for an acquisition. Shane identified key areas to improve website engineering, performance and availability driving total traffic growth more than 500% and helping Fandango’s average monthly users grow from 6 million to over 20 million. Under Shane’s leadership, Fandango was capable of taking over 500,000 transactions a day, while connecting to over 1600 theater locations. Today, Fandango is one of the top 20 traffic websites and top 5 mobile ecommerce sites.
Prior to joining Fandango, Shane worked in a variety of technology roles in companies ranging in size and maturity from start-ups to those in the Fortune 500. Most recently he served as the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President for Synapse Group, Inc, a TimeWarner company, focusing on enterprise architecture, application development and new product offerings. There, O'Neill built highly customizable systems in order to acquire customers for some of the largest brands in the publishing industry, including Time, Newsweek, and People. These systems were capable of handling 20 million billing events per month helping drive growth from $30 million to $350 million in revenue over the course of 6 years. Before Synapse, Shane held positions at Warnaco Group, Inc, a large apparel manufacturer, and Owens Corning. He worked on a variety of projects for both companies building web applications which increased efficiency in the sales process and created greater visibility into customer behaviors and the financials of the company through advanced reporting technologies. Shane started his career developing technology solutions for ExpressBill, now a WebMD company.
He currently serves as an advisor to the Board of Directors for Insureon.com and MoviePass. He was also an advisor to treatful.com and AXYS Innovations.
