Shane is a pharmacist and entrepreneur specializing in innovative patient-care models and the use of technology to improve adherence, patient health outcomes and quality measures. He founded Paragon Pharmacies and set up the first central-fill pharmacy in Western Canada. His leadership in the movement to use automated packaging sparked his vision
for Catalyst.
He has consulted for North America’s largest chains and smallest independents. As the Advisory Committee Chair for Healthy Residential Solutions Inc (HRS) in 2009, Shane led an independent pharmacy collaborative that used technology, including Catalyst’s leading pharmacy software and electronic medication administration record, oneMAR®, to ensure quality patient care. Recognizing the need to address healthcare costs through accessible technology, he founded, launched and sold Pack4U.
He holds a BSc in pharmacy from the University of British Columbia and is the author of centralized filling and checking legislation for the province of British Columbia.
