Having advised both institutional and retail clients for 30 years, Scott brings a capital markets-focused approach to his core planning activities at Hawthorne Financial. Prior to joining Hawthorne in 2013, Scott spent 15 years working as a Senior Vice President of Fidelity Investment Institutional Services Company, marketing the firm's
extensive product platform to many of the Midwest's most notable investment advisory groups. Applying Fidelity's vast technical resources within the advisory community has allowed Scott to develop a sophisticated investment advisory model blending credit markets and macro trends into individual and corporate client circumstance.
Prior to his work with Fidelity, Scott spent 10 years as a registered principal and regional manager with Woodbury Financial Services and Cigna Financial Advisors.
Scott received a Finance Degree from Eastern Illinois University and holds series 7, 63, 65, 22 and 24 securities, life and health licenses.
Scott currently serves as President of the Board of Directors for “ Friends of Kids with Cancer” and chairs the Finance and Audit committee.
When not working with his clients, Scott spends much of his free time with his family and looking after his farm. He enjoys traveling, golf, biking and running, and lives in Clayton with his wife, Katrina.
