Major Betts has served 24 years in the Army Reserve and National Guard and has extensive civilian experience in operations management. He managed distribution centers for Master Lock, Kmart, and Ashley Furniture. He is a graduate of the Public Affairs Officer Course, Military Police Officers Basic Course, Logistics Captains Career Course and
Pennsylvania National Guard Officers Candidate School. Maj. Betts has also been certified as the Contracting Officers Representative for the DVIDS Hub and DVIDS Equipment Contracts.
He has served with US Third Army for 8 years and has had extensive experience in public affairs plans and operations. He was the lead Public Affairs Plans and Operations Officer for Exercise Bright Star 2005 and traveled throughout all of US Central Commands Area of Responsibility to each DVIDS transmitter and Public Affairs units to help units fully utilize the DVIDS System. He is a graduate of the Geneva College, where he received a B.A. in human resources. Maj. Betts is a Logistics officer serving in Public Affairs.
