Scott Anthony Mitchell, professionally known as Scotty Franchyze, is a former University of Kentucky wide receiver turned entrepreneur, content creator, and civic advocate. Born in Southern California and raised in Texas, Mitchell earned recognition at Clear Creek High School and Mt. San Antonio College before transferring to Kentucky, where he
played Division I football. He later advanced to professional opportunities in the Canadian Football League (CFL) and Arena Football League (AFL).
In 2023, Mitchell launched his digital creator career across TikTok, YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook, surpassing 2 million TikTok views in his first six months. Today, he is active as a streamer, talent manager, and consultant, blending sportsmanship, entertainment, and community-building into authentic digital experiences.
On July 13, 2025, Mitchell and his partner, designer Davanh DiMarco, received national attention for stopping an arson attempt at Runyon Canyon in Los Angeles. Mitchell chased down the suspect while other hikers assisted, and firefighters contained the flames before they spread. The viral video of the incident was featured on major outlets including CNN and Sports Illustrated.
Motivated by surviving prior Los Angeles wildfires, Mitchell and DiMarco co-founded Protect Our Path (POP), a civic initiative dedicated to wildfire awareness, safety, and community resilience. Through POP, Mitchell continues to merge his athletic discipline, digital presence, and public advocacy to inspire and protect communities.
