Dr. Sam Globus has dedicated his career to using emerging technologies to improve the lives of patients. He completed a Ph.D. in genetics, molecular biology and biochemistry from Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City. His doctoral research, performed at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center / HHMI, focused on the basic molecular processes
used to create genetic diversity in eukaryotes.
Dr. Globus is currently the COO of Genomenon where he is part of the executive team dedicated to becoming the first company to curate the Human Genome. In this role, Sam leads the Data Curation, Engineering, Data Science, and Services teams. He also leads the operations of the international team located in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this role, he has overseen two successful acquisitions to the Genomenon team in 2023 and 2024.
Dr. Globus was previously the VP of Strategy & Operations at Eagle Genomics working to launch their lead product, a microbiome data analysis platform and the VP of Operations at Celmatix where he helped develop and launch the world's first genetic test for markers of infertility. Prior to his graduate studies, he worked at Genitope, developing personalized therapies for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. In addition to his Ph.D., Sam also holds an M.Sc. from University of Oxford in History of Science & Technology, an M.A. from Columbia University in Biotechnology, and a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
