Samiya Parvez was at the frontline as a member of parents of children with disabilities forum to make changes to services provided by the local government, for disabled children and make it more user-centric. This, combined with her experience as a parent of a severely disabled child, led to the creation of Andiamo. A SaaS technology start-up that
aides clinicians in making decisions for medical device services, co-founded with her husband Naveed. Their aim is to reduce wait times for custom made orthoses for children with disabilities from 6 months down to weeks by using 3D scanning, 3D printing, and their bespoke platform.
