Sam Pierce spent most of his career in and around the investment world, with a specific focus in sustainable investment and corporate responsibility. He founded a software company in 2001 and sold it in 2017. Because spirits are more fun than software, he got together with his friend Dave McConnell to establish Three of Strong Spirits in 2018.
Sam’s family was distilling rum in New England as early as the 1750s and his namesake Samuel Stillman Pierce founded the S.S. Pierce Company in 1831, selling a range of necessities, including rum.
Jack Rowntree, President, has over twenty years of strategic planning and management experience in the software industry. Prior to IW Financial, Mr. Rowntree served in various roles on the senior management teams of Omnify Software and Trilogic Inc. During his tenure at Trilogic, Mr. Rowntree's strategic direction helped the company grow into one of the most diversified and successful developers and distributors of EDA software in North America. Mr. Rowntree then joined Omnify Software where he developed and managed a global distribution channel, tranforming Omnify into a globally recognized PLM software provider to the OEM market.
