Prior to joining Thanx, Sam was COO of Recurly and prior to that COO of SAY Media, responsible for all business operations. He also served as CBS Interactive’s Senior Vice President of Operations, in charge of technology operations, revenue systems, and shared applications and services used by CBS Interactive brands.
He got his start online at
CNET Networks as Director of Business Development, eventually becoming Vice President of Product Development for the company’s Snap.com portal initiative.
After Snap.com went public as NBCi in 2000, Parker went to 12 Entrepreneuring as the Director of Product Strategy but returned to CNET Networks in 2001 as Senior Vice President of Global Publishing Services. He began his career as a product manager and evangelist at Apple.
Sam is a graduate of Yale University.
He lives over the bridge in Mill Valley with his wife and two kids and enjoys anything to do with the ocean or fire.
