Sam (Samir) Gulve has over 31 years of diverse, global technology industry experience. During his career, Sam has held various senior management positions at world-renowned companies such as Amdocs, AT&T Bell Labs, Avaya, Netscape, SSA, and Spice Group as well as, at highly successful startups such as Kiva Software, Calico Commerce, Visual
Insights and Shakti Systems.
Sam is currently Global VP of Engineering and Managing Director of India at EFI Inc. where he is currently focused on driving innovation and in delivering a diverse portfolio of products. Before EFI, Sam was Managing Director for Spice Group, a diversified business covering handsets, retail, applications and value added services for mobile markets across Africa, Middle East and SE Asia. Prior to that Sam was Chairman & Managing Director for Avaya India.
During his career, Sam has held key leadership roles in diverse functional areas including General Management, R&D, Engineering, Sales, Strategy and Operations. With over two decades in North America with global responsibilities and last 11 plus years in India.
Sam has won several industry recognitions in both continents and a few years ago, was chosen as one of the most influential technology leaders in India by a large peer group of technology leaders in Asia.
Sam is passionate about mentoring young leaders in realizing their full potential. Sam is engaged hands-on in applying Deep Learning and Predictive Analytics technologies to a variety of domains including manufacturing, printing and packaging. Sam is also involved in advising a number of technology startups.
